British Catching Water Station Wave 6.3MW Power Plant System will be Completed Soon

Installation solar power systems in the water not only is Japan, but also British to catch up with this wave fashion. A 6.3MW water solar power plant will be completed to enable an artificial reservoir on the outskirts of London, before Kyocera Chiba, Japan 13.7MW water power station completed, London this Water power plant will be the world's largest water power station.

British《Guardian》 reported that this water power station floating on London suburbs Elizabeth II Reservoir Thai Well Shiwoerdun (Walton-on-Thames) . The plant will use more than 23,000 pieces of solar panels, go through five years planning, and will be completed in March this year , at a cost of 6 million pounds. The plant produced electricity will be supplied to operate water treatment plants, for generating clean drinking water to the Greater London area and South East England region nearly 10 million residents. There are other parts of the power will be supplied directly to the surrounding residents. Its annual generation capacity suppy for 1,800 households of UK residents.

Thames Water Company is the holder of the water solar power plant, Lightsource Renewable Energy is responsible for developing and engineering construction. Thames Water Conservancy energy manager Angus Berry said the plant will become the world's largest water floating type solar power station, and hope to encourage UK and all around the world to put into the same power plant construction. Berry said, floating in the reservoir of Elizabeth II solar panel about standing in the water reservoir 6% area, no impact on the local ecology; however, berry also pointed out that in the future development of other water power station, according to local conditions to evaluate.

Britain decided to cut subsidies for solar and wind power, but Elizabeth II reservoir power station is not affected. As for other later developed solar power station, Berry admits, also need understand the economic benefits before deciding whether to advance development.
Kyocera and Century Tokyo Leasing through their jointly established subsidiaries "Kyocera TCL Solar" develop a 13.7MW water floating solar power plant in Chiba Prefecture, it is expected to be completed in 2017. Before The water Chiba station completed, the UK Elisabeth reservoir power station will occupy the throne of the world's largest water solar power station.
